Electric vehicle sales in the UK surged by 40% in 2022, according to the SMMT. But most were bought by businesses and EVs still made up a small share of new car registrations compared to the rest of Europe.
High fuel prices, limited charging access and steep upfront costs left many drivers unconvinced. At the same time, poor integration across OEMs, energy providers, dealerships and charging companies created a fragmented customer experience.
To generate leads, CI&T produced a white paper exploring adoption barriers and how digital experiences could help overcome them. I commissioned a survey of EV and non-EV drivers, gathered insights from business leaders and wrote the full copy.
